Pastor Walt and his wife Linda are both 1973
graduates of Derby High School. Pastor Walt holds an A. S. in Computer
Science from Waterbury State Technical College (1979) and a B. A. in
Business Data Processing from the University of New Haven (1984) and has had an extensive career in computers.
In
1992, Pastor Walt and his
family moved to the Chicago area so he could attend Trinity
Evangelical Divinity School which he graduated from in 1996 attaining
the Master of Divinity degree. Upon graduation the Mayhew family returned to
CT to be part of Christian Community Church.,Pastor Walt is
bi-vocational. After a 30 yer career in Information Technology, he entered the State of CT's Alternate Route to Certification program order to teach middle school math. Since his graduation from A.R.C. in 2008 he has been teaching Algebra to 8th graders as a meber of the Derby Middle School staff. In his free time he enjoys fishing, listening and playing music, coaching, reading, developing & maintaining web sites, listening to and playing music. He plays the keyboard, bass guitar and drums and participates on the church praise and worship team.
Jenny
& Ryan Adams
Jenny is
a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University in Langhorne, PA.
with a major in
Elementary Education and
Biblical Studies. Jenny was married January 12, 2002 to Ryan Adams of Farmington,
Maine. Jenny enjoys tennis, volleyball, basketball and working with young
children. Jenny is a pre-school teacher for Noah's Ark Early Learning
Center and sings with the church praise and worship team. Her husband Ryan has
his degree from Philadelphia Biblical University in secondary education. He is employed
by the Derby Public School system as a High School Math teacher. Jenny &
Ryan have a daughter Kayla, and a son Tyler, two cats Pendel and Hawthorne and a dog Tucker
Krista
& Mark Boyer
Krista is a graduate of Philadelphia
Biblical University in
Langhorne, PA. with a major in Elementary Education, Early Childhood
and Biblical
Studies. She is the Director for Noah's Ark Early Learning
Center.
Krista enjoys softball, basketball, tennis, and working with young children. She also sings with the church praise and worship team.
She was married to Mark Boyer May 7, 2005. Mark is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and is employed as a network engineer. They have a cat named Sabba.
Garrett & Genevieve Mayhew
Garrett and Genevieve were married February 2008. They are both UCONN graduates. Garrett is an electrical engineer and Genevieve is a registered nurse. Garrett is an avid guitarist and is pursing an MBA with Indiana University while participating in United Technologies Corpoation's Operations Leadership Program..
Joseph
Joe is a graduate of Derby High School (2009). He is studying Finance at Norwalk Community College. He is an avid reader,
loves to listen to Christian music on his MP3 player, play basketball and video games on the computer.
Joshua
Josh is a graduate of Eli Whitney Regional Vocational Technical High School in Hamden, with plumbing as his area of specialty. He is employed by Allen's Plumbing in Seymour. He likes fishing, and playing sports and video games on the computer.
Sonny, Phoebe & Judah
Sonny is our recently adopted (Good Friday) Golden Retriever / Nova Scotia Duck Toller Retriever we rescued from AL thru Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue Here he is in the back yard doing what he loves best .... retreiving!
Phoebe and Judah are a brother and sister we adopted when our daughter Jenny took in a stray that had a liter. Here they're taking a rest after spending the day playing with each other when we first got them 5 years ago..
